As part of this recertification assessment, Sigma’s certification scope was revised to cover the design, supply, installation, inspection and commissioning, maintenance and servicing of MEP systems and engineering systems for civil and industrial projects; as well as the design, supply, construction, installation, inspection and commissioning of renewable energy projects.
The assessment programme was conducted at Sigma’s Head Office and at the ST7 Wind Power Plant – Phase 2, Sunshine Crystal River, and The Senique Hanoi projects.
During the first assessment round on 13–14 August 2026, the BSI assessment team conducted assessments at the Head Office, ST7 Wind Power Plant – Phase 2 and Sunshine Crystal River. At the Head Office, the assessment covered the organisation’s context, leadership roles and commitment, resources and documented information, internal audit activities, risk identification and control, environmental aspects, occupational health and safety hazards, emergency preparedness and response, and monitoring of management system performance.
At ST7 Wind Power Plant – Phase 2, the assessment team conducted a site tour and reviewed operational controls relating to environmental and occupational health and safety management, production and service provision, IQC/PQC/FQC/OQC quality control, and the management of nonconforming products. At Sunshine Crystal River, the assessment focused on operational controls for environmental and occupational health and safety management, the preservation of customer and supplier property, and the control of product and service quality at the project site.
During the second assessment round on 27–28 August 2026, the assessment team continued its work at The Senique Hanoi and Sigma’s Head Office. Throughout the programme, the BSI assessment team gathered evidence through direct interviews with personnel responsible for and performing relevant activities, on-site observations at construction sites and office premises, and the review and cross-checking of documented information, records and relevant documents. The assessment was conducted against the requirements of the three ISO standards, applicable laws and regulations, customer and interested-party requirements, and the requirements specified in Sigma’s internal management system documentation.
The 2026 recertification assessment was conducted on the foundation of the QHSE management system that Sigma has established, maintained and continuously improved over the years. From quality management and environmental control to occupational health and safety, these requirements are integrated into a unified management system, ensuring consistency in the management and implementation of the Company’s activities.
During the assessment, findings were classified according to their level of conformity, opportunities for improvement, minor nonconformities and major nonconformities. For nonconformities identified, Sigma carried out root cause analysis, developed corrective action plans, implemented the required actions, collected supporting evidence, and submitted the corrective action plans through the BSI Connect Portal for BSI’s review and verification in accordance with applicable procedures.
The completion of the 2026 recertification assessment marks another step in Sigma’s ongoing journey to maintain and improve its QHSE management system in accordance with international standards. Through the assessment process, the Company’s management system was reviewed from the perspectives of system development, control and actual implementation, enabling Sigma to further identify areas of conformity, opportunities for improvement and aspects requiring corrective action.
With its consistent focus on quality, health, safety and the environment, Sigma will continue to operate its QHSE management system in close alignment with its day-to-day activities across the Company and its projects. This approach supports Sigma in meeting the requirements of applicable standards, legislation, customers and interested parties, while continuously improving its management system throughout its development journey.
