There are moments on a construction site that may seem ordinary at first glance, yet carry the significance of a new beginning. A piece of equipment is positioned. The first batch of materials arrives at the site. A pile center is precisely marked across a vast stretch of land. From these seemingly small movements, a major project begins to take shape.
At Dau Tieng 5.1, that moment is drawing near. The first pile centers are being prepared for deployment by Sigma, marking the transition from drawings, plans and engineering calculations to tangible construction activities on site. A new foundation is about to be laid, opening the way for the development of an important part of a large-scale solar power project in Tay Ninh.
August in Dau Tieng brings unpredictable weather. At times, the sky darkens as heavy clouds gather over the site, followed by sudden downpours just as machinery gets into full operation. The ground becomes wetter, access roads more challenging, yet construction activities do not stop. As the rain eases, equipment moves back into position, materials continue to be delivered, and work areas are quickly prepared. Amid the sun, wind and sudden showers, the construction site continues to grow day by day.
At DT5.1 – Zone 2, where Sigma is responsible for the BOP package with a capacity of 164.22 MW across approximately 170 hectares, preparations for the first construction activities are being accelerated.

Sigma Takes The Lead In Deploying The First Pile Centers At The Dau Tieng 5.1 Project
Sigma has mobilized two pile-driving machines to the site and is continuing to deploy one additional machine to meet the project schedule. On August 18, 2026, the first 50 piles arrived at the construction site, ready for the trial pile driving operation scheduled to begin on August 22, 2026, with an initial target of deploying 400 piles per day and night. At the same time, manpower, site conditions and other construction requirements are being organized in parallel, creating a solid foundation for the expansion of construction activities.
Behind every progress milestone lies a carefully coordinated preparation process: equipment must arrive at the right time, materials must be ready, work areas must be properly organized, and every activity must meet stringent requirements for engineering, quality and safety. On a large-scale construction site, progress is not driven by speed alone, but by the ability to coordinate and execute with precision as one team.
Dau Tieng 5 is a large-scale 450 MW solar power project, with a total investment of approximately VND 7.774 trillion and covering around 645 hectares in the Dau Tieng Lake area of Tay Ninh. Within this vast landscape, Sigma's scope at DT5.1 represents an important link in the journey of transforming solar energy into electricity that serves communities and everyday life.
As energy demand continues to grow and the transition toward clean energy accelerates, solar power represents far more than figures of installed capacity. It is a way to harness abundant natural resources, gradually reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contribute to building a more sustainable energy system for the future.
Behind the solar panels quietly capturing sunlight each day is the story of countless people working from today onward: engineers calculating every detail, workers staying on site through intense sun, strong winds and sudden rain, equipment operating tirelessly, and foundations being laid with care and precision.
For Sigma, contributing to this journey is a source of pride. Drawing on its experience in delivering energy projects, Sigma continues to bring to DT5.1 a proactive, determined and consistent spirit—from site preparation and equipment mobilization to workforce organization and the execution of the very first construction activities.
Every major project begins with very tangible things: a pile center accurately marked, a pile-driving operation carried out in accordance with technical requirements, equipment mobilized at the right time, and a team united by its commitment to schedule, quality and safety.
The first pile centers at DT5.1 may be only small points across the vast landscape of a 450 MW project. Yet from these small points, foundations will take shape; from those foundations, the next stages of construction will follow; and from there, a part of a green energy project will gradually become a reality in the land of Dau Tieng.
From the first pile centers today, amid Dau Tieng's unpredictable mix of rain and sunshine, Sigma and DT5.1 are laying the foundations for a green energy journey—where every project not only generates electricity, but also contributes to building a more sustainable future.
